The Garden
Thanks to a grant from Rastrick Big Local, the Friends were able to fund the ramp up to the library door. Part of the overall plan was that the Council would restore the sunken garden. Unfortunately, the Council, along with all local authorities, finds itself desperately short of money and cannot fulfil that part of the scheme.
Friends have been searching for an alternative source of funds. We are now in negotiation with a firm of developers who have expressed an interest in helping us. Watch this space.
Committee meeting
The next committee meeting of the Friends will be at 6pm on Thursday, 20 June.
